Our Story
How Last Call Foods Began
From a simple idea to a movement against food waste.
Last Call Foods was born from a simple observation: every day, countless restaurants, bakeries, and grocery stores throw away perfectly good food simply because it wasn't sold by closing time or didn't meet cosmetic standards.
Our founder witnessed this firsthand while working in the food industry. After seeing bags of fresh bread, produce, and prepared meals being discarded at the end of each day, they knew there had to be a better way.
The idea was simple: create a platform that connects businesses with surplus food to consumers looking for quality items at reduced prices. This would help businesses reduce waste and recover costs, while providing consumers with affordable access to good food.
In 2023, Last Call Foods launched with a small group of partner businesses in select neighborhoods. The response was overwhelming – both businesses and consumers embraced the concept, and word quickly spread.
As we grew, we expanded our mission to include farm-to-table connections, helping local farmers find direct markets for their produce and reducing waste throughout the entire food supply chain.
Today, Last Call Foods is a growing community of businesses, farmers, and conscious consumers working together to reduce food waste, support local economies, and make quality food more accessible to everyone.
